New Reeltime CEO Announces Change and New Revenue Generation Initiatives for 2009-2010

SEATTLE, May 19, 2009 /PRNewswire -- Reeltime Rentals, Inc. (Pink Sheets: RLTR) The new Chairman and CEO of Reeltime Rentals announced the company’s plans for 2009-2010 today. James Green stated that, “Reeltime is going through a complete overhaul and revamping”. Green has conducted a complete review and determined that the company, through its new programs based on revenue generation not stock promotion , will become a major competitor in the online movie, television and merchandising industries.

“This company now has the leadership and vision it has been wanting,” says President, Mark Felgenhauer. With our dedicated staff, aggressive marketing and operational strategies we will transform Reeltime Rentals into a major financial force.

“First on our to do list is to diversify our business to offer consumers a wide range of spin off products that will give them added value for the fee they pay us to watch our movies and TV shows. We will be offering memberships to our consumer club we are calling The Reel Club”, said Green. In return for a monthly fee members will receive a host of benefits such as unlimited viewing of our TV programs, discounted pay-per-view movies and discounts at our soon to be launched online Store called The Reel Store and discounts at the retail supplier we are enlisting in malls, shopping centers and online. “Like the competition we will be shipping and selling DVDs. But we will surpass the competition as we will be offering Music CDs, Books and even Fitness equipment as we will be launching a Fitness and Exercise Channel shortly,” says Green.

“Especially exciting”, says Green and Felgenhauer, “Are the 18 new channels we will roll out in the next 3-6 months. With the name change to The Reeltime.com Television Network we will be operating like a traditional television network and afford consumers and members a vast array of programming through these 18 new channels that can be acquired for a membership in The Reel Club”.

Attached to our 18 channels is our new Franchise Program where qualified producers and suppliers can gain management of a Reeltime channel through our franchise purchase program. Our new franchise partners will supply the programming we require and the merchandise we require that will be associated with each franchised channel.

New to Reeltime will be our Production Division, that will co-produce 10 new television series and broadcast these on Reeltime.com and other public broadcasting stations . This new division will assure us that we can release new and unseen series for our members and subscribers. The Reel Production division will afford the company new revenues that will help make the company profitable in the coming months.

“We are a company with new direction and besides becoming strong financially we will also become an active corporate citizen”, says Green. Our Not for Profit Organization Fundraising and Revenue Sharing Program that will afford these groups a good percentage for revenue though our membership marketing program.

He stated that, “Over and above what is mentioned here, we have some exciting things up our sleeve as well”. He closed by saying that, “With the growth of our channels, our diverse offering of new and exciting consumer products and most important our excellence in customer service and relationship marketing, this company will become a major earner and player in the home entertainment and retail business in the months to come”.

Shareholder letter from CEO Mark Felgenhauer

Dear Shareholder:

When last I wrote to you on February 11th, we had just made some major changes within the Company. This letter is intended to give you a fuller picture of where Reeltime stands, and what is being done to make the business work.

1. Launch of IRDS 2.2 platform & Ethostream

Following many months of preparation, I am pleased to announce that the new version of Reeltime’s Intelligent Rapid Delivery System (IRDS), version 2.2, is now live and available for customers at www.reeltime.com. The new platform, like any new system, will require monitoring and optimization, though I am very pleased with the improvements to the viewing experience that IRDS 2.2 represents.

In addition to providing a more straightforward viewing experience for our retail customers, the launch of the IRDS 2.2 platform coincided with the launch of our wholesale service to Ethostream’s customers across the United States. I will update you shortly as to the revenue impact of this in my next letter.

The move to IRDS 2.2 has necessitated an investment in ingestion and uploading of new and existing titles, as content encoded for IRDS 1.3 is not compatible with the new platform. We ask that customers and shareholders be patient with us, as we expand the range of content as quickly as possible.

2. Jagran Prakashan Joint Venture

I believe it is now appropriate to inform you of the significant transaction Reeltime entered into at the end of 2008 with Jagran Prakashan Limited (JPL). JPL is a sizeable Indian media company with annual revenues of around $150 million and a stable of newspapers, magazines, television and radio stations, outdoor advertising services, mobile data services and internet ventures. JPL publishes Dainik Jagran, the most widely-read newspaper in the world with 56.6 million readers per day, and is the Yahoo! partner for India.

On December 28th, 2008, JPL and Reeltime executed a definitive agreement to form a joint venture with the objective of building and operating an Internet movie portal for India and the Indian markets. The joint venture will provide Indian and Western movies to an increasingly tech-savvy audience, growth of which is expected to explode in numbers as broadband media penetration grows in India over the next few years.

On the basis of the financial models agreed to by the parties, the net benefit to Reeltime over time could be significant. Beyond this significant financial gain, Reeltime will benefit from access to the world’s largest media market in partnership with one of the most significant media companies in Asia.

Clearly then our priority must be to execute against this joint venture, and to liberate the financial potential it represents for our shareholders. To do that, we will need to ensure that Reeltime is well capitalized to succeed.

3. Financial Activities

I have concluded my review of the Company’s financial position, and it would appear that the lengthy period without significant revenue has left the company in a weaker position than the Board of Directors and I would prefer, particularly given the recent capital market contractions of the last few months.

We are however determined to make the company successful. The company is very focused on cost minimization, and our partner, JPL, is working with us to explore US and India-based cost models to bring Reeltime to profitability as quickly as possible. Let me assure you that I take cost control very seriously, so much so that I am drawing no compensation until the Company is in better financial health.

We are also stepping up our efforts to generate sustaining revenues, with the Ethostream relationship merely the first of several partnerships we are seeking with other service providers. We are also working to begin a new line of business providing Internet screening capability for full-length independent movie titles.

However, to meet the investment requirements we need in order to ensure the success of our core business, and the capital contributions required to make the Jagran Prakashan joint venture successful, the Board has decided that Reeltime must seek a strategic investment in the Company over the next few weeks.

We are currently working with prospective investors, and expect to be able to present concrete proposals for shareholder review and approval at a Shareholders’ Meeting.

4. Annual Shareholders’ Meeting

Because Reeltime has issued all of its authorized capital, it may be necessary for shareholders to approve an increase in authorized capital at a Shareholders’ Meeting. Beyond this immediate need, we believe it is highly desirable to perform some additional functions, namely:

a. Providing a Management Report on the state of the Company;

b. Reviewing Reeltime’s strategy for 2009-2010;

c. Election of a new Board of Directors; and

d. Address inquiries from Shareholders.

For these reasons, the Board has decided to designate the meeting an Annual Shareholders’ Meeting. To minimize expense, the Meeting will be held at a low cost location in the State of Washington to be advised shortly.

Shareholders will soon be receiving a Notice of Meeting and proxy documentation, and should anticipate the date of the Meeting to be some time in April.

5. Final Comments

During these hard times, in which our industry is experiencing tumultuous change, the survivors are laying the basis for long-term success. Our partnering strategy and focus on strategic business relationships should enable Reeltime to show real results, but only if we are able to bring capital into the company and improve our attention to the nuts and bolts of our business.

I hope I can count on your support now and at the Annual Meeting to take Reeltime forward.

Respectfully,

Mark Felgenhauer
Chief Executive Officer

ReelTime In Final Testing Phase

(Seattle----November 6, 2007)– ReelTime.com (PINKSHEETS: RLTR)– the video-on-demand broadband network, according to Beverly Zaslow, president and COO of ReelTime: “We are pleased to be able to announce that we are in the final stages of testing our new website, which is, after all, ReelTime’s face to the world,” said Zaslow. “We've been making many changes... probably the most notable has been our focus on relaunching with a much sleeker looking website, something far more in line with how sites look in today's rapidly changing internet environment.”

Zaslow continued, “As important as the new look of our site, was redesigning the way it worked. Now we are able to offer B2B services that allow us to develop private label websites and joint ventures with entertainment companies who want a superior video streaming experience for their users.

According to CEO Barry Henthorn, “It was important to focus our time on making sure the new site was right. As of today, we have opened up the testing to our content owners, providing them with a live platform to review. We believe that 30 days is enough time for those tests to be completed, after that, we should have further announcements to make concerning the addition of content."

New York Times Coverage

Nothing to Watch on TV? Streaming Video Appeals to Niche Audiences

A feature article about streaming video highlighted ReelTime.com. Running in the New York Times, an excerpt follows:

Companies like ReelTime, Joost, Limelight Networks and Brightcove are staking their futures on streaming video.

“We’re point, click and watch — instantly,” said Barry Henthorn, the chief executive and co-founder of ReelTime. “We never stop and never buffer.”

ReelTime, based in Seattle, digitally distributes thousands of movies and television shows to customers who either rent titles for 99 cents each or subscribe to the service for $4.99 a month to $19.99 for six months.

While ReelTime content can easily be watched on desktop and notebook computers, Mr. Henthorn urges customers to connect the computer to the television’s larger screen for viewing because, he said, “the quality is that good.”

Mr. Henthorn said ReelTime’s streaming technology depends on a peer-to-peer network. Some of the content comes straight from ReelTime, but to speed the delivery other portions of it are pulled from subscribers’ computers that have previously downloaded the content. The more users who download the ReelTime player and view its content, the faster and better content streams to and from all users.

“Right now all kinds of things are being shoved, rather inefficiently, over the Internet,” Mr. Henthorn said. “Once people can watch full-screen video anytime anywhere, the tolerance for four-inch screens will go away.”

Streaming has been a boon to media companies catering to a narrowly defined audience.

ReelTime Will See Eye to Eye With Atlas & Kato Kaelin

SEATTLE, WA, Apr 24, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- ReelTime.com (PINKSHEETS: RLTR) announced today that programming from Atlas Worldwide, including Kato Kaelin's syndicated hit series, "Eye For An Eye" will be available on the ReelTime.com broadband network. Now in its fourth season, ReelTime customers will be able to view the first season of this funny and unique series.

Unlike any other courtroom television drama, Kato Kaelin hosts this modern take on the criminal justice system, as new cases are tried each week before Judge Extreme Akim. People fed up with the seemingly hopeless court system are demanding that the punishment fit the crime, and "Eye for an Eye" does just that with innovative sentencing that makes sense. "Eye for an Eye" features the enigmatic Judge Extreme Akim sentencing his litigants to "paybacks" where the prevailing party gets to deliver the "payback" punishment. Featuring Kato Kaelin as host and Sugar Ray Phillips (former middleweight boxing champion of the world) as bailiff, "Eye For An Eye" delivers a gavel crack unheard of in the world of American courtroom television. "Today, justice is a baseball bat."

"Starting with 'Eye For An Eye,' we're delighted to have Atlas Worldwide's programming available on ReelTime.com," said Atlas V.P. of Sales and Marketing and "Eye For An Eye" Producer Scott Kirkpatrick, who continued: "Watching ReelTime's streaming video opened my eyes to the possibilities of online distribution."

Beverly Zaslow, ReelTime's Vice President said, "This is another side of ReelTime.com's episodic television programming that adds another dimension to our library of films and shows." She added that, "'Eye for an Eye' serves an important portion of our subscriber base, and we will strive to get more titles in this genre."

ReelTime.com Installs New Suite for Transcoding and Uploading New Content

SEATTLE, WA, Mar 28, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- ReelTime.com (PINKSHEETS: RLTR), the broadband network offering "point, click and watch" video-on-demand, announced today that they have transformed part of their offices into a state-of-the-art suite for transcoding and uploading new content which, now added to their previously announced Digibeta editing studio will enable ReelTime to scale up the rate at which new content can be made ready for viewing. Now standing at 25 per day, the new facility, when fully staffed, could enable the conversion of up to 80 titles per day.

Jessica Baxter, ReelTime's content manager, said, "Finally I can start to get out from under the backload of video that has been accumulating. Now my staff and I can start to put titles up almost as fast as Beverly (Business Development and Acquisitions V.P. Beverly Zaslow) has been acquiring them."

Beverly Zaslow, ReelTime V.P., said, "We now can get titles up so much faster, which will make the content providers happier, and therefore my department can much more aggressively pursue acquisitions without concern about a lag in time before titles are up on our website and available to subscribers," said Zaslow.

ReelTime activated about one hundred titles yesterday, many of them from (previously announced) Vanguard Films, and the current system is scalable to even greater capacity, as needed. The company now intends to put up one hundred titles per week.
